Tool Version History
superglue keeps a version history for saved tools. Each save that changes a tool archives the previous configuration before writing the new one.
View version history
Section titled “View version history”Open a saved tool and click the current version badge, such as v3, beside the tool instruction. The history panel shows:
- The current saved version
- Earlier versions in reverse chronological order
- When each version was saved and who saved it
- A summary of the changes from the preceding version
- An expandable field-level diff
Unsaved draft changes can also appear above the saved history. They do not create a persisted version until the tool is saved.
Restore a version
Section titled “Restore a version”Restoring requires edit access to the tool.
- Expand a historical version.
- Review its changes.
- Click Restore.
Before replacing the current tool, superglue archives the current configuration as a new history entry. Restoring an older version therefore does not discard the version you restored from.
Does every save create a version?
Section titled “Does every save create a version?”No. Only saves with actual configuration changes create archived versions.
What happens to the history when I rename or delete a tool?
Section titled “What happens to the history when I rename or delete a tool?”Renaming a tool preserves its history. Deleting a tool removes its version history.
